The Roman Catholic Church?

"The one True Church established by Christ is the Catholic Church. All are obliged to belong to the Catholic Church in order to be saved. When we say, `outside of the church there is no salvation,' we mean that those who through their own grave fault do not know that the Catholic Church is the true Church, or knowing it refuse to join, cannot be saved."

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints?

Well, Which One is Right?

These are but four of the many religions of our day that claim to be the ONLY true church or the ONLY true way of salvation for mankind - no wonder the average person is fed up with religion! The Bible however makes it crystal clear that true salvation is NOT through any church or religious group, but through a Person!

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name [i.e. than Jesus] under heaven, given among men, whereby we MUST be saved." (John 14:6; Acts 4:12)

Beware of those groups who claim to be "the only way" - Jesus is the ONLY way into heaven for it is He who came to earth and died on the cross to pay for your sins. The Bible says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Rom. 3:23) Every one of us has an imperfect heart in the sight of God - though in different degrees, we are all sinners who fall short of God's standard of perfection. "The wages of sin is death" (Rom. 6:23) as all sinners "will have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." (Rev. 21:8) What an awful thing to look forward to! The Lord in his mercy did not want to see you have to pay for your sins in hell forever, so "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Rom. 5:8) The man or woman who is willing to admit that they are a sinner, who will repent of [i.e. turn from] their sins, ask God's forgiveness and who will put their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved from their sins and from hell! "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, SHALL BE SAVED!" (Rom. 10:13)

Joining a church will not get you to heaven - not our church - not ANY church! There is no deed you can do that is good enough for God to overlook your sins. "For by grace are ye saved through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the GIFT of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Eph. 2:8-9)

The options are only two: 1) trust in your own good works, your religion, your church, yourself or your way and end up in a real place the Bible calls hell; or 2) trust totally and only in the Lord Jesus Christ and the promise that He makes to save your soul - this is the only way to obtain God's forgiveness and eternal life!

If you want to be assured of receiving God's forgiveness, avoiding hell and living with God for ever in heaven, please sincerely pray something similar to the following:

"Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and that I deserve to go to hell. Please forgive me of my sins and save me. I believe that you died on the cross and rose again from the dead to pay for my sins. The best way I know how, I want to trust in you alone to save me and I ask you now to be my Lord and Savior as you promised in the Bible. Thank you for saving me - Amen!
